Design Master Class (2018)
Design Master Class: Branding Creative Excellence.
Design Master Class is a conference created by Wallpaper Magazine and the Royal College of Art, celebrating and connecting masters of their creative discipline.
The branding strategy implemented the key given design elements with a new identity highlighting the purpose of the event: celebrating excellence. It was vital to create a cohesive brand identity in order to communicate to the general public and design professionals. Wallpaper Magazine and the RCA function as institution and facilitator of creative exchange.
Giving a cause a voice: building a brand.
The brand was already advertising the festival, using the blending gradients as main visual feature. In order to continue the brand recognition this element was implemented within the new identity.
Next step: analysing the language that introduced the speakers in order to find the brand’s new voice from within.
Connecting past & future, classic & modern, emotional & rational, the new identity juxtaposes creative disciplines and aspirations.
